The paint is dry, the licenses are on the wall, the beds are made, and the coffee maker has been stress-tested by our staff more times than we’d like to admit. On Monday, August 17th, Tidal Forge Recovery opens its doors to our first clients — and the countdown is officially on.
Doors Open — August 17th, 2026
We're Open — Call (714) 794-2630
We’ve already shared the big announcement — the six-bedroom home, the DHCS license, the pet-friendly policy, the clinical lineup. This post goes a level deeper: what life inside the program actually looks like, hour by hour, and how to be one of the first men through the door.
What a Day at Tidal Forge Looks Like
Structure is medicine in early recovery — so we built the day deliberately. Here’s the honest rhythm of a weekday in the house:
- Morning: wake-up, medications and vitals with our clinical team, a real breakfast at a real kitchen table, and a morning intention group before the day’s clinical work begins.
- Midday: individual therapy sessions, men-only process groups, and evidence-based clinical work — CBT, DBT, and EMDR for trauma — led by our licensed clinical team.
- Afternoon: movement and holistic services on rotation — gym time, breath work, yoga, Reiki, sound baths — plus case management, treatment planning, and the beach when the schedule allows. It’s Huntington Beach; the ocean is part of the program.
- Evening: family dinner (residents cook together — it matters more than you’d think), a 12-step meeting in the community, and quiet hours to read, call home, or throw a ping-pong grudge match on the patio.
- Weekends: family groups, family outings, alumni contact, and downtime that teaches the most underrated recovery skill there is — how to enjoy an ordinary day sober.
Detox First, Without Changing Address
Most men arrive needing medically supervised detox before the therapeutic work can start — and at Tidal Forge, detox happens in the same home, with the same team, in a real bedroom. 24-hour clinical support, physician-directed comfort medications, and substance-specific protocols for alcohol, opioids and fentanyl, benzodiazepines, stimulants, and more — see the full list of what we treat. When detox ends, residential treatment begins the same day, in the same house. Zero lost momentum, zero scary transfers.
Six beds means every man is known by name, story, and treatment plan by his first dinner in the house. That’s not a marketing line — it’s a math problem we solved on purpose.
How Admissions Works (It’s Simpler Than You Think)
- Step 1 — Call (714) 794-2630. Free, confidential, answered 24/7 by a human being. Tell us what’s going on; we’ll tell you honestly whether we’re the right fit.
- Step 2 — Verify insurance. We accept most major PPO plans, and verification is free — usually same-day. You’ll know your coverage before you commit to anything.
- Step 3 — Brief clinical pre-assessment. A short phone screening so our medical team can prepare your detox protocol and your bedroom before you arrive.
- Step 4 — Pick your admission date. Beginning August 17th, same-day and next-day admissions will be available as beds allow. With six beds, calling early genuinely matters.
What to Bring
Pack like you’re staying with family for a month, because you basically are: comfortable clothes, gym gear, swim trunks, toiletries, your ID and insurance card, and any current prescriptions in their original bottles. Yes, you can bring your phone (clinical schedule permitting), and yes — we’re pet friendly, so ask us about your dog when you call. Leave behind: anything containing alcohol, and the idea that you have to have this all figured out before you arrive. That’s our job.
The Team Waiting on the Other Side of the Door
On August 17th, the door gets answered by people who have spent their careers — and in several cases, their own recoveries — preparing for it: a board-certified psychiatrist with four decades in addiction medicine, a licensed Clinical Director certified in EMDR, a doctorate-level Nurse Practitioner, and a leadership team that has lived both sides of this disease. Meet the whole team here.
Be First Through the Door
Somewhere out there is the first man who will walk through this door on August 17th — nervous, tired, and about to make the best decision of his life. Maybe it’s you. Maybe it’s your son, your brother, your husband, your friend. The countdown at the top of this page is real, and so is the phone number: (714) 794-2630, free and confidential, 24 hours a day. Call now to verify insurance and reserve an admission date — we’ll have the coffee ready.
